The ideal candidate is a motivated and dedicated self-starter with a natural drive towards customer service, seeking an opportunity to expand their knowledge and gain experience in a multi-faceted hospitality environment.
The selected candidate is expected to perform at a professional and ambitious level, working variable hours depending on company needs. The selected candidate must be flexible and able/willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
The selected candidate will work with the Director of Events to execute all events. This position is responsible for on-site event coordination, as well as pre-planning. This includes, but is not limited to, lead generation and follow-up, sales, events set ups and teardowns, communication between participating vendors, constant communication with clients and management team, collection of fees and event information, facility tours, and client meetings, etc.
The selected candidate will also be required to learn all other aspects and departments of the resort, including lodging, golf, and dining. This selected candidate will be responsible for staying involved and engaged with all departments to assure quality customer service to all clients and guests and will be required to work in each of these departments as needed. The resort aims to provide superior customer service, and the ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between the management team, staff, and guests to ensure communication, improve procedures and guest services, and assist in keeping a positive company growth.
Aid in the recruitment, planning, organization, and execution of resort events
Work with set up crew to set up and breakdown event space on event days
Onsite the day of all events to manage the production of the event and provide event related services to client and vendors
Collect event supplies from clients/staff days prior to event
Invoice clients and collect payments, manage payment records
Work with all clients to create set up for event space, recommend vendors, and assist in event planning
Place orders for event related needs
Provide thorough and detailed tours and information for potential clients to promote event sales
Answer and response to phone calls and emails in a prompt and professional manner. Including collection of event and business leads, client follow up, supporting information collection, and contract negotiation.
Support publicity, advertising and outreach for events, marketing, and public information campaigns.
Coordinate logistics and promotions with event vendors, sponsors, and area businesses
Update and maintain company calendars, blogs, and social media platforms.
Support special projects related to tourism development and other resort functions
Assist in managing office correspondence and communications
Coordinate with vendors, track and schedule projects and deliverables to support marketing and events
Keep a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, encourage positive client and interactions
Keep up to date on current industry trends and communicate and implement strategies to increase business.
Complete other tasks as assigned by the Director of Events, General Manager, Owner, Marketing Director, etc.

Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and continuously walk the floor (including stairs)
Experience with events, lodging, food and beverage, golf, and/or marketing preferred
Knowledge of town/region and experience working in a resort community a plus
Knowledge of computer programs and systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge/experience with back office and point of sale systems is a plus
Familiarity with Google Suite is a plus
Ability to learn quickly and easily
Flexible schedule, must be available to work late most weekends.
