Candlestone Resort is searching for experienced bartenders for our on-site Water Tower Grille. Positions available are full-time and part-time, including but not limited to nights, weekends and holidays, making the ability to work a flexible schedule a necessity. The ideal candidate will posses a strong work ethic and be able to work as part of a team and on their own. Must be customer service oriented and able to communicate well with guests and other associates both verbally and in written form. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and produce quality service and product in a fast-paced environment is a MUST. All associates must adhere to our long-standing dress code and maintain a professional appearance. Experience using a food and beverage POS system is a plus! TAM certification or TIPS certification a plus!

Job Requirements:

Outstanding work ethics. 

Strong service skills along with equally strong organizational skills. 

Customer service experience golf  knowledge required.

PGA apprentice in progress, prefer professional certification completion.

Will be required to work assigned special events, weekends, evenings and holidays.

Ability to coordinate and expedite golf activities, such as tournaments.

A minimum of (3) years of experience in golf facility operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of U.S.G.A. Rules, handicap, course rating system and mechanics of golf.

Able to demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire associates to meet and exceed company standards.


Job Description:

*Responsible for promoting the game of golf and the club while providing the three steps of service to the members and guest of the club.

*Responsible for providing quality service, overseeing and assisting with golf shop operations and participating in driving revenue and programming efforts.

*Responsible for efficient and friendly customer service throughout the pro shop, checking in golfers, accurately ringing up charges at the register and properly checking in golfers prior to play including proper cash handling procedures and insuring that all standards of operation are being met. 

*Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.

*Maintain control of tee sheet, including walkups and pairings.  

*Organize and promote all club tournaments and other special events/functions at the club.

*Provide professional instruction for members/guest according to PGA Standards.

*Oversee all aspects of outside golf operations and staff to insure proper performance while following all daily procedures and policies including rangers/starters and golf shop attendants. 

*Responsible for keeping up inventory levels and inventory controls, ordering and checking-in merchandise in accordance with procedures, organization of storage and display area.    

*Responsible for optimizing profits by controlling labor.
