JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Hotel Manager & General Manager, Our 25-room golf resort hotel needs a Hotel Front Desk Clerk.  We’re looking for a friendly individual who genuinely enjoys being around people and who can manage multiple tasks at once. The ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience and will understand the importance of responding quickly to guests’ needs and concerns to ensure an enjoyable experience for all of the Resort’s guests. You’ll be corresponding with guests through email, over the phone and in person. If you’ve worked in the hospitality industry before, we definitely want to talk to you. However, we’re willing to train the right applicant.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

Prior experience and/or general knowledge of the game of golf is a plus. TIPS or TAMS certification also is a plus. Must be reliable and trustworthy. Must be 18 years of age or older.

JOB SUMMARY

The golf cart attendant works closely with the Head Golf Professional, Director of Events, and General Manager on the outside golf operations to assure a smooth transition for patrons and their members around the club. Primary responsibility falls on service to patrons, efficiency of cart loading, cart cleanliness, staging, and storing. This position will also be responsible for working closely with the Resort Event staff to assist with set-up and tear down of events and other duties, as needed.  

 

The Cart Attendant must have excellent listening skills and an eagerness to provide excellent service. Must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the Club and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary. Cart Attendants must be neat and well-groomed in accordance to Candlestone Resort standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position will meet and greet all members and their guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner in accordance with all facility policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for daily operations of range ball recovery utilizing both mechanical and hand machinery and equipment.  
  • Responsible for the collection of, organization of, and cleanliness of all range baskets used for ball transportation according to policies and procedures established by management.
  • Help keep all working areas attractive, neat and clean free of trash and waste.  Responsible for washing the range balls to maintain their cleanliness and usability.  
  • Follow procedures for proper opening and closing of the cart and range operations.  
  • Keep the outside area uncontested, neat, and clean.
  • Do not allow carts to clog passage area, arrange them neatly after having been used.  
  • Inspect the condition of golf carts with specific attention to their cleanliness and appearance. Report needed repairs and condition of carts to management.
  • Responsible for cart cleanliness, cart supplies, cart condition and charging. As well as the rotation of golf carts to ensure uniform usage amongst the fleet.
  • Assist golf shop personnel in the tournament setup of golf carts and range operations.  
  • Refer all major concerns/complaints to a manager and/or assistant manager.  Follow procedures in management of the cart.
  • Maintain order and continuity of player traffic.
  • Tracking and reporting the need for supplies necessary for day to day operations of their given areas.  
  • Perform other duties as required.

Bartender/servers must have a clear understanding of the club’s menus and be able to describe and sell food, wine and cocktails to the club’s members and their guests. They are committed to keeping the public club areas clean and providing the highest level of service throughout every shift with a positive attitude. Bartender/servers must always be moving with a sense of urgency and anticipate the needs of patrons and staff. Members of the Candlestone Resort service team must hold themselves to the highest standards of personal behavior and adhere to the dining steps of service that are set forth during orientation and training. They are expected to lead by example through their actions and more importantly their behaviors.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

Ability to communicate effectively with teammates, both written and verbally, and ability to carry on polite conversation with guests is a MUST. Experience using a food and beverage POS system is a plus. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older to handle beverages TIPS or TAMS certification is a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •

  • Promptly greeting guests and getting them seated
  • Learning the menu and accurately taking orders, prepare and deliver beverages and appetizers in a timely fashion, deliver entrees immediately.
  • Provide quality check-backs with all guests while checking your section for newly seated tables, busing, cleaning and setting tables.
  • Rolling silverware, prepping server station and bar, stocking product, and maintaining a clean and presentable area.
  • Servers/bartenders are required to process transactions and complete shift paperwork properly, balancing drawers.

Prior experience and/or general knowledge of the game of golf a plus. May require not less than one-year experience as a greenhouse grower, tree trimmer, construction and operation of heavy equipment, construction and maintenance, classes in carpentry and mechanics OR, an equivalent level of education and experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Cuts grass and trims weeds using hand mower or power driven lawn mower, weed trimmer and brush cutter.
  • Plants grass, trees, shrubs, or flowers according to instructions and planned design of landscaped area, using hand tools.
  • Applies mulch to designated areas.
  • Pulls weeds around bushes, trees and flower beds. Ability to work variable hours.
  • Cleans buildings and grounds, washes windows and empties trash cans using brooms, cleaning supplies and floor buffer.
  • Repairs and paints benches, tables, guardrails and may assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings and mechanical equipment using hand tools.
  • Maintain fairways and all adjacent Golf Course property. Performs preventative maintenance of facilities and buildings.
  • Performs light maintenance on Golf Course equipment. Trims hedges and prunes trees using hand and power tools.
  • Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks.
  • Directs large problems to supervisor.
  • Assists other departments in all Golf Course projects as directed.
  • Responsible to self-initiate activities consistent with Candlestone Resort and department’s goals and objectives.
  • Must report for work at required time and date and maintain a responsible attendance record.
